MCS insulation has ribbon cutting as it expands to the Gulf Coast

MCS Insulation announced its grand opening and ribbon cutting of its new location at 14321 Seaway Road, Suite C5 in Gulfport on Thursday.

MCS Insulation customers are thrilled their insulation purchases are more easily accessible now. The company sells and installs fiberglass and spray foam insulation, a staple in home building.

“We’ve used MCS Insulation on a few jobs and are excited at their new convenient location,” said Caron Dekle, Accounts Manager of KSB Contractors of Gulfport.

The business has been around since 2002 when former Mississippi state representative, Hank Lott, founded the company alongside his brother-in-law, Kevin Cooksey. The company is headquartered out of Sumrall, Miss and operates with 33 employees.

“We are so excited about the opportunity to expand our insulation contractor business to the MS Gulf Coast! This is an area that has a wonderful culture, fantastic people and a growing economy. We look forward to being a great community partner in the Gulf Coast region,” said Hank Lott, President of MCS Insulation.

Lott and Cooksey recently hired two outside sales representatives with a great deal of insulation industry knowledge and expertise.

“I am most excited about this expansion because it’s giving me an opportunity to join a winning team. I’m looking forward to this store now being open to the MS Gulf Coast and for MCS to become a part my community down here. I’m originally from Wiggins but live in Biloxi now. I’m so grateful that I’m getting to bring all my experience to MCS. I’ve been a part of the insulation industry since the mid-90s,” said Kelly Arkwright, new sales representative.

Newk’s was catered in compliments of Yellowood, a valued vendor of MCS Building Supply, a lumberyard in Sumrall, another of Lott and Cooksey’s businesses. Six lucky people won a door prize: a lazer engraved YETI rambler with the MCS Insulation logo. This event was free and open to the public.

“We truly do want to thank the Mississippi Gulf Coast Chamber of Commerce, our valued vendors, customers, chamber members, and all the county employees, city officials like Mayor Billy Hewes who came out to show their support of MCS Insulation in Gulfport. Hank has given so much by serving the state of Mississippi in the House of Representatives, and I think it was incredible to see Congressman Palazzo’s team come out to show support and so many others we can’t even begin to name right now because we are still in shock and thrilled at the tremendous warm welcome. Hank and Kevin (owners and business partners) put a lot of hard work, blood, sweat and tears into making this business a huge success. I can’t think of a more deserving business or more deserving men. No wonder MCS is so successful!” said Jessica Breazeale, PR & Marketing Director of MCS Insulation.
