Casino revenue falls sharply across Mississippi in February

Gamblers stayed away from Mississippi casinos in February, sending revenue tumbling 10 percent compared with the same month in 2016. State Revenue Department figures show gamblers lost $172 million last month, compared to $190 million in February 2016. Biloxi casino employee accused of stealing from slot machine

An employee at a Biloxi casino has been accused of stealing from a slot machine. The Sun Herald reports that the state Gaming Commission says 38-year-old Gary Landon Davison, of Brooklyn, Mississippi, was arrested Saturday and charged with theft from a slot machine. 2 casino sites rejected on Mississippi coast

Regulators have rejected proposals for two new casino sites on the Mississippi Gulf Coast. Mississippi casino revenues rise in December and all of 2016

Mississippi casinos ended 2016 on a high note, with revenue rising in both December and the year.
